John Paganini is a technology leader, entrepreneur, and AI advocate whose career spans healthcare, software development, product leadership, education, and community service. 01 Enterprise Technology Foundations +
John began at White Motor Credit Corporation as a computer operator, advancing to Manager of Computer Services while enterprise computing moved from batch processing toward real-time systems.
At Praxair, he progressed from Programmer Analyst to Manager of Business Systems for the Western Region, supporting production plants, operational technology, and financial systems across the western United States.
02 Global Technology Leadership +
As General Manager of IBS International's Singapore subsidiary, John established health technology relationships throughout Asia and helped launch a call center platform for Singapore's government.
He also held executive roles at Document Technologies Group, further developing his ability to connect technical delivery with business strategy and international operations.
03 Pioneering Healthcare Innovation +
In 1995, John helped develop MediMate, one of the earliest electronic medical record systems, deployed at the Cleveland Clinic Atrium Group. In 1999, he co-founded RIS Logic and helped build one of the earliest radiology information systems.
RIS Logic grew from a three-person startup to a $12 million acquisition by Merge Healthcare, with the technology later becoming part of IBM. At Guardian Technologies, John led product strategy for an AI-powered tuberculosis detection platform deployed in South Africa.
His consulting work has included Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals initiatives involving EMR integration, enterprise imaging, CVS MinuteClinic connectivity, and early clinical exploration of IBM Watson.
04 Industry and Community Leadership +
As Senior Manager of Interoperability Initiatives at the HIMSS Innovation Center, John led programs involving interoperability, cybersecurity, analytics, and healthcare innovation.
He co-founded the Cleveland Medical Hackathon and helped develop the HIMSS Cybersecurity Hub and innovation showcase. His leadership also includes service with Northern Ohio HIMSS and as President of the Classic Thunderbird Club of Northern Ohio.
05 Entrepreneurship with Purpose +
John's ventures include DinkerBop, a simplified radio concept for individuals living with Alzheimer's and dementia; EmP Fitness, a blockchain-based health and fitness platform; and InSportz, a digital ecosystem for athlete development, wellness, and personal branding.
He also co-founded IoT Directions to help organizations identify practical Internet of Things opportunities and founded Paguar Informatics to connect emerging technology with responsible, human-centered business solutions.

John holds an MBA in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix, a BA in Business Management from Lake Erie College, and an associate degree in Data Processing from Lakeland Community College.
He is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems, has served on Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise planning and technical committees, and is a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy.
